Danny Y.H.Cheng

Patent Agent & Technical Writer

Mr. Cheng has extensive experience in drafting patent applications of all varieties, preparing arguments before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and reviewing and analyzing intellectual property portfolios.  He is a master at efficiently interfacing with the rules and regulations at the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

During his undergraduate work, Mr. Cheng served as a Chemical Engineer Technician for Compeq International, a leading provider for computer integrated circuit boards. There he controlled process lines, standardized chemical solutions and chemical baths, in addition to calibrating and maintaining a variety of chemical, mechanical, and electrical procedures and processes.

Mr. Cheng is a registered U.S. patent agent and technical writer focusing on intellectual property development. He is experienced in analysis of patents and products including validity and prior art. With a strong background in a variety of technologies including: chemical compositions, chemical engineering, software engineering, business methods, mechanical, and electrical devices. Mr. Cheng’s language skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese provide an advantage in serving clients with special language needs. Mr. Cheng has spent summers teaching English to Mandarin Chinese students in his hometown of Changhwa, Taiwan.
