Jason P. Webb

Mr. Webb focuses his practice on intellectual property, corporate, and securities law. His emphasis is on helping mid-sized companies capitalize on their resources and protect their assets and on helping small-cap companies form and grow into valuable enterprises.

Mr. Webb’s expertise in intellectual property law comes from helping companies develop their IP strategies and portfolios. He has drafted hundreds of patent applications and has developed comprehensive strategies for companies to capitalize on their IP, including protecting foreign rights in areas of Asia and Europe as well as others. He has rescued distressed patents and applications in order to allow them to be leveraged in the marketplace. He has also negotiated licensing agreements with Fortune 500 companies. Further, he has negotiated settlement agreements for each of copyright, trademark, web domain, and patent disputes with favorable results for his clients.

Mr. Webb is also experienced in helping clients with securities issues related to new ventures. For him, success for his clients means having the right resources available and wisely investing those resources in efforts for having a strong return on investment. Accordingly, he helps his client become capital compliant in order to legally raise capital. He also offers his clients his expertise in the proper corporate formation, expert advice and counsel during negotiations and opportunity development stages, protection strategies, and the ability to enforce those protections.

Before his law career, Mr. Webb was continually active in university research regarding cavity structures in amorphous silicon, new semiconductor materials, non linear laser mechanics, and cell membrane penetration.

Mr. Webb is also a civilian partner with the United States Government in promoting the protection of critical information systems. He is active in his community and is a director for the Salt Lake Outreach Micro Fund, a non-profit organization devoted to creating micro credit banks in struggling communities worldwide. With his professional experience and background, Jason Webb puts his skills to work to help his clients succeed.

Mr. Webb has experience in drafting patent applications in a wide variety of technologies, especially including software applications, electronic devices, chemical compositions, and mechanical inventions. His background in physics and software provides him a knowledge base that allows him to quickly comprehend virtually any invention and the perspective to see the critical big picture that many specialists miss.
